Buffy The Vampire Slayer
"If you need help, then look no further. Angel Investigations is the best. Our rats are low... (What? It says "rats." Sorry.) Ahem... our rates are low, but our standards are high. When the chips are down, and you're at the end of your rope you need someone that you can count on. And that's what you'll find here -- someone that will go all the way, no matter what. So don't lose hope. Come on over to our offices and you'll see that there's still heroes in this world."
For over two centuries, Angelus was one of the most vicious vampires ever to walk the earth. Then he killed the wrong girl, and her grieving Gypsy family cursed the vampire with the return of his soul, causing him to suffer with remorse for all the hundreds of innocents that he had killed through the years. Now he goes by the name Angel, and he fights to protect the helpless from those who would prey upon them as he himself once did.

Angel moves to L.A., seeking a purpose in the City of Angels. There, he meets Doyle, his half-human, half-demon spiritual advisor, who gives him direction. Doyle leads Angel to Russell Winters, a rich and powerful vampire, preying on aspiring actresses. When Winters sets his eyes on Angel's old Sunnydale cohort Cordelia, Angel saves the girl, confronts Winters at his lawyer's office, Wolfram & Hart, and does some major re-vamping. This is the first of many confrontations Angel will have with Wolfram & Hart.
Doyle receives a new vision that sends the group to the club scene. They soon learn they are looking for a serial killer who seeks his prey from D'Oblique, a chi-chi singles bar. While perusing the crowd, Angel meets Kate, an LA police detective and D'Oblique regular. Though they initially bond, Angel is preoccupied by his mission and devotes his efforts to pursuing the killer. After a violent confrontation, Angel discovers the suspect is a demon parasite. Doyle and Cordelia bond as they learn more about the identity and behaviors of the demon and Kate and Angel soon work together to catch the killer.
Oz pays a visit to Angel and gives him the Gem of Amarra, the vampire's holy grail that grants eternal protection. Doyle wants Angel to wear it with pride, but Angel opts to play it safe and hides it in the underground tunnels. He is soon kidnapped by Spike and tortured by a child-eating vampire named Marcus. While Angel is enduring the torture, Cordelia and Doyle locate the gem in the tunnels and quickly conspire Angel's rescue. The rescue goes almost according to plan, but in the scuffle, Marcus manages to obtain the gem and heads for the beach. The group follows him and Angel battles with him to the death. Deciding that no vampire deserves to see the light of day, Angel destroys the gem.
As Cordelia and Angel continue the debate of whether or not to charge for their services, Doyle receives a vision of yet another woman in distress. Angel pays a visit to her workplace and learns that the woman is being terrorized by her neurosurgeon who is somehow mysteriously able to watch her every move.
When Cordelia returns one evening to her roach-infested digs, she decides that desperate times calls for desperate measures and moves into Angel's apartment. Doyle soon finds her a new apartment, but it comes with an unexpected roomate.
Kate, hardened by years of police work, enrolls in sensitivity training with her fellow police officers. At first the training appears to be innocuous, but Angel and others begin to notice her excessive emotions.
Just as Doyle is inches away from finally making a connection with Cordy, his estranged wife shows up at Angel Investigations begging for a divorce so she can marry the new love of her life.
When Angel tells Cordy and Doyle that he did not contact Buffy during his visit to Sunnydale, Buffy pays a visit and expresses her displeasure. Sparks fly. As they are about to part their separate ways Angel finds out he is human again.
The Scourge, are in town and out for blood. Angel learns their strategy to eliminate the half-demon breed population. With the lives of dozens in jeopardy, Angel and Doyle must make a choice.
Angel pays a visit to the Powers That Be and begs them to return Doyle. Cordelia soon realizes there was more to Doyle's kiss than she originally thought.
Angel is plauged by dreams of himself as a killer, while Kate tracks down a serial killer following the pattern of Angel's dreams.
Cordelia prepares for a night on the town with William Christopher, a prominent LA photographer, but right before her friends whisk her away to meet him, she receives a vision and gives the information to Angel. Angel and Wesley check out the address and slay a demon spawn. At the club, Cordelia chats it up with William and invites him to spend the night. The next morning, she realizes she's expecting! Angel and Wesley pay a visit to her apartment and observe her pregnant state. They try to contact Wilson but are unable to reach him. They form a plan: Angel will track down Cordelia's friend Serena, while Wesley will take Cordelia to the doctor. When the doctor observes she is carrying 7 babies, the panic sets in. Meanwhile, Angel meets with Serena and discovers she's pregnant as well. She clues him to Wilson and his cronies' hangout: a local gun club. Meanwhile, Cordelia and Wesley return to Angel's pad and Wesley observes her new attitude towards her spawn. She is suddenly very attach
Cordelia throws a happenin' soiree. While Wesley attempts to mingle, Angel spends most of the time brooding in the kitchen. The next morning, Angel officially hires Wesley, and Cordelia receives a vision of a murder in an ice factory. Angel locates the corpse and encounters a demon named Tay, who tells him his mission is to stop the bringer of chaos. Angel tells his findings to Wesley and Cordelia, and they get right into the research. That night, Angel pays a visit to the corpse's office and encounters a female demon. She sends him a powerful jolt then leaves. Angel recovering quickly, jumps into his car and follows her to a museum. There, he discovers the demon is attempting to help other females escape their homeland via a portal in the museum. Back at A.I., Wesley discovers Tay is a Vigorie, a herbivore species from Oden Tal that enslaves its female members of the race. Back at the museum, the rescue is a bust after Tay and his cronies burst in. Angel and the demon (who soon introd
Angel accidentally calls Wesley 'Doyle' while he is arguing with Cordy, who has just made inedible brownies. We later learn Angel feels pangs of guilt over Doyle's untimely death. Suddenly, Cordelia receives a vision about a young family. When Angel and Wesley visit the residence, they notice a boy sleepwalking in the street. Angel saves the boy, named Ryan, from an oncoming car. When Angel goes inside the house to get cleaned up, Wesley takes a look around and deduces one of the members of the family is possessed by a demon. Meanwhile, to show their undying gratitude for Angel's bravery, the family invites him over for dinner the following evening. Wesley informs Angel about the demon presence and the next day, they create a brownie recipe that will reveal the demon's presence. During desert, Ryan puts on a demon face and Angel brings the family AI to exorcise it. While Cordy stays with the family, Wesley and Angel go to the local church to find the priest to exorcise the demon, but the
Angel has a memory of an altercation between him and his father in 1753, but his mind quickly returns to the present when he kills a demon who escaped from a moving subway train. When Kate enters on the scene, he tells her to cover up the truth to her fellow officers. Though she is disturbed by the demon factor, she becomes distracted after seeing her father enter the station. Later that morning, Wesley identifies the deceased demon as a Kwaini species and remarks it is atypical for this type of demon to be violent. They deduce the demon had an incentive to attack one of the passengers. Angel then tries to obtain a list of passengers from Kate, but she's unwilling to give it to him. Despite this, he manages to locate the passenger in question and follows him on one of his deliveries: to Mr. Lockley's apartment. When Angel confronts Mr. Lockley, he denies any involvement. Angel, reminded of his painful past with his father, has another memory from his past: he meets Darla and is sired.
As Wesley and Cordelia exchange banter, Angel is paid a visit by a strange man, claiming his brother Jack was kidnapped by demons affiliated with a bookie. While Cordy and Wesley consult their demon database, Angel pays a visit to the bookie. The bookie refers him to a place in beechwood canyon. Angel goes to the canyon and gets information from the bookie, then begins investigating an underground fight club. We later learn the man who pays a visit to Angel, is the organizer of the fight club, and Wolfram and Hart is a major sponsor. Angel soon discovers he was set up in a trap. He is expected to fight other slave demons to the death. The next morning, after Cordelia and Wesley get suspicious about Angel's whereabouts, Wesley pays a visit to the bookie and obtains the address of the fight club. That night, Angel kills a demon, but his heart isn't into the battle. Wesley and Cordelia spot him in the ring, and Wesley explains the meaning behind the slave bracelets which Angel and the oth
Wesley and Angel endure a painful experience: attending Cordelia's first stage appearance. As they stretch the truth to spare potential hurt feelings, Cordelia spots Oliver Simon, a top talent agent, and one of his clients, Rebecca Lowell, a former soap opera star, leaving a paparazzi-filled event. While Cordelia lists the many accomplishments of Rebecca Lowell, Angel notices Rebecca is in apparent danger and rescues her from an ongoing car. The next day, Rebecca pays a visit to AI and tells Angel she is being stalked by a celebrity fan. She asks Angel for his help, but he turns down the case. Wesley deduces Angel has feelings for Rebecca and has rejected the case to prevent himself from obtaining the true happiness that would unlease his evil vampire within. Cordelia is beside herself with disappointment, after all, this Rebecca woman could be a serious networking opportunity! Later that evening, Rebecca has a gathering. As she ascends the stairs she hears noises. Angel bursts in and
Angel and Wesley catch, find and convert a prime witness that is involved in a case against Wolfram & Hart. Knowing that Angel is behind the reappearance of the witness that foiled a major case, W&H are ready for payback. Enter Faith. Seems she's had enough of Sunnydale and is searching for darker pastures. Not five minutes off the Greyhound and the rouge Slayer knocks out a lecherous man and takes his wallet and keys. With some cash and a place to stay, the sky's the limit. We're taken back to Romania, circa 1898, as Angel's past is revealed. We see the transformation of Angelus to Angel as his soul is restored by a gypsy. And we see the pain Angel first endures as he now feels the 140 or so years of killing and is now neither part of the vampire nor the human world. The evil folks at Wolfram & Hart find Faith and commence hiring her to do away with their nemesis, Angel. It's obviously no problem for her. She immediately attempts to shoot our hero in public with a crossbow, but Angel
Buffy comes to Los Angeles seeking vengeance under the guise of protecting Angel from Faith's violent nature, but Buffy is shocked and hurt to discover her former love siding with her nemesis as he attempts to shelter her. Meanwhile, Wesley is faced with a crisis of loyalties when the Watcher's Council offers a chance at reinstatement if he gives up Faith.
Angel tracks down a nerdy millionaire's blackmailer, but gets caught in the middle of a gang war between street kids and vampires and meets the leader of the vampire hunters, Charles Gunn. Although Gunn is suspicious of Angel, he soon realizes Angel may be a valuable ally in the cleaning up of the City of Angels.
Angel agrees to help legal but not so ethical whiz kid Lindsey McDonald crack the secret files of Wolfram & Hart to save a group of children from a demonic assassin. Said assassin also happens to be legally blind, quite the lethal weapon and on the Wolfram & Hart's payroll. Angel asks vampire hunter, Gunn to help him break into the Wolfram & Hart building and along with the assistance of Lindsey, our undead hero makes it in successfully even though the firm is full of traps. Along his journey through the law firm's secret vaults Angel finds himself attracted to an ancient scroll and he grabs it as he runs out the door. Little does Angel know, the scroll holds a prophecy about the "vampire with a soul." Ultimately, Lindsay isn't quite sure if he can stick by his decision to betray the firm and sabotage the deadly mission. In the end, he chooses to stay with the firm, getting himself a nice raise and a much bigger office.
Wesley is searching for the translation of the Scrolls of Aberjian and the prophecy of the "vampire with a soul." He is finding the process difficult as the scrolls are over 4,000 years old and translated into a dozen languages. Unfortunately, when Wesley does realize what the pivotal word, "shanshu" means, he must tell Angel that the prophecy means the vampire with a soul will die. Angel greets this news with an uninterested shrug. Wesley and Cordy believe Angel's non-reaction is a result of not living, growing and changing as the rest of the world does. The gang discovers that Lindsey has been promoted to Jr. Partner at Wolfram and Hart. He made his choice to stay with the dark side. Meanwhile, the folks at W&H are conjuring up a demon who has come to separate Angel and the "Powers That Be." This of course, means separating Angel from his friends as well as the Oracles. The next day, as Cordy walks through a flea-market, the same demon brushes up against her. She's hit with a vision
The well-oiled, demon-fighting machine of Angel, Cordelia and Wesley is back in full force and joined by the streetwise vampire hunter Charles Gunn. After a case of mistaken identity leads Angel to slay a demon protecting an innocent girl, karaoke is the only way to make things right. Meanwhile, Angel struggles with the discovery that he may not always be eternal and Darla recovers from her resurrection from Hell.
Angel directs Cordelia and Wesley to investigate a mysteriously abandoned hotel in Hollywood and as they piece together the building's dark history, they discover that his interest is that of a personal nature. In a flashback to 1952, Angel is not the atoning vampire of present day, but a recluse who is detached from the tortured humans around him, until one fateful day.
When Cordelia has a particularly disturbing vision of Gunn is in grave danger, she elects herself as his new protector. When she discovers that he may be his own worst enemy, she has to face the fact that she can't save him without the help of Angel and Wesley.
Angel unknowingly crosses paths with Wolfram and Hart when he comes to the aid of a young woman, Bethany , who possesses telekinetic powers far beyond her control, a situation Angel has had to contend with in his own life. Meanwhile, Angel is somewhat off his game due to the fact that he has been sleeping weird, but has no idea his fitful nights are the result of nocturnal visits by Darla.
Angel's continued restless nights takes him all the way back to 1860 London and his first encounter with Drusilla , but when he sees Darla in his waking life, Cordelia, Wesley and Gunn fear he has gone off the deep end and may revert to his evil ways.
Angel travels to a mystical swami to help him understand his haunting dreams and get in touch with his inner demon, but while he is away Wesley assumes Angel's identity to try to save a young girl and sort of enjoys playing the role of a vampire with a soul.
Angel is desperate to rescue Darla from the clutches of Wolfram & Hart and flashbacks reveal what a dangerous and powerful relationship they shared as history weirdly seems to be repeating itself. The trip down memory lane begins with Darla's sire by the Master and ends with the gang of Spike, Drusilla, Darla and Angel being torn apart when he gets a soul.
Angel poses as a flashy vampire hoodlum, and with the help of Gunn prevents a mind-altering shroud from falling into the wrong hands.
Angel is still haunted by flashbacks of his 150-year love affair with Darla and has Gunn help track her down, but he soon discovers that he is faced with an impossible choice: watch her die from a terminal illness or use his dark powers to turn her back into a vampire and give her eternal life.
Angel goes on a frantic search after Drusilla turns Darla back into a vampire, and he must catch them before she rises again and the two go back to their old ways and paint the town red. Meanwhile, as Angel goes off the deep end, his staff worries they are the only ones standing between Angel and real darkness.
After firing his staff and cutting himself off from all help, Angel begins intense physical and mental training to become strong enough to stop Darla and Drusilla before they destroy the City of Angels. Meanwhile, Cordelia, Wesley, and Gunn try to continue the fight for the innocent on their own now that Angel's gone astray.
Angel threatens to expose Wolfram & Hart's criminal activities when he discovers that they are stealing large contributions that were made to a teen shelter but an old adversary has other plans for Angel.
Angel and the Host search for a physicist they fear will cause the end of the world---and who unknowingly has help from two apocalypse-lovin' Lubber demons. Wesley, Cordelia and Gunn settle into their new digs, where Virginia brings them their first official case.
Angel investigates rumors of renegade cops out for blood, while Cordelia, Wesley and Gunn carry out their own fact-finding mission that results Wesley being seriously wounded by a police gunshot.
Angel learns of the impending visit of Wolfram & Hart's "senior partner," an evil and merciless demon from hell, and he plans a kamikaze mission to destroy the powerful beast that will sacrifice his own life in the process.
After an empty night of passion with Darla, Angel surprisingly wakes up with his soul still intact and has an epiphany. His moment of clarity brings him back to the land of the living and while he tries to reunite with his crew, Cordelia, Wesley and Gunn aren't ready to forgive him, even when their very lives are at stake.
Angel Investigations may be together again, but that doesn't mean the family is ready to add a new sister. While the crew tracks down a cult of vampires led by a former motivational speaker with a wicked pyramid scheme, Cordelia gets a surprise visit from her old high-school buddy Harmony. Unaware her flaky pal's a bloodsucker, Cordy mistakes Harm's strange behavior for lesbianism---until the truth comes out, so to speak, in a call to Willow. Much to the dismay of her co-workers, the ever loyal Cordelia resolves to give her undead friend a chance at fighting for the good guys.
Angel crosses paths with Lindsey while searching for a man in Cordelia's vision, who was stabbed himself in the eye. The man's eye turns out to be possessed, which is unknown to Lindsey, who is waiting on a hand transplant. Meanwhile, Angel is having a hard time trying to find the corpse of the man, which is not surprising, considering Wolfram & Hart have had his hand amputated and his body stored. Lindsey receives his new hand, which he is understandably having trouble with. Angel's search and Lindsey's curiousity ends in a cryogenic lab with multiple 'still living' bodies. The duo work together to blow up the lab. The next day, Lindsey turns down a promotion and leaves LA, after patching things up with Angel.
Angel and his crew must find a way to kill a bloodthirsty demon who has arrived in town from another dimension through a mysterious, magical portal in the karaoke bar. With the help of Cordelia's visions, they are able to locate someone who can help destroy the snarly beast; however, when it's time to return their source to his home dimension, Cordelia discovers a whole new world.
After being inadvertently sucked into a dimensional portal, Cordelia finds herself stuck in the Host's home world, Pylea, a place where human beings aren't exactly treated as such. While Cordy struggles to endure the hardships of otherworldly existence - which include being treated as a slave and referred to as "cow" - Angel, Wesley, the Host and Gunn work on how to get her back. They decide that the only acceptable, but nonetheless risky, plan is to go to Pylea themselves. Of course, the only way to get there is to first locate another functional portal. And the Host is none too excited about the idea of a homecoming.
Angel and friends work overtime to survive in a foreign dimension. Cordelia discovers her dirty duty as Princess of Pylea is to mate with a creature called the Groosalugg. She's unable to escape the palace with Wesley and Gunn, and the priests keeping watch over her also prove to be less than trustworthy. Meanwhile, Angel gets himself into trouble with the Host's family when he refuses to kill a human woman who went missing from L.A. years before.
Angel struggles with the inner beast that the demon dimension brings out in him, while Cordelia learns that her role as princess involves mating with a demon, and Wesley and Gunn band with rebel forces to overthrow the government and Her Majesty. The Host loses his head, literally, but as long as his body stays intact, the head lives on. It's up to Cordelia to save him while Angel calls upon Fred to help rescue everyone so they can all go home. As they arrive home with the newest member of Angel Investigations, Angel spots a rather distraught Willow sitting on the hotel stairs.
On a routine patrol, Angel stakes a female vampire he recognizes from his past, but a moment too late. Her grief-stricken lover, Angels old fighting buddy, is out for revenge for the present killing and a betrayal Angelus committed over 200 years ago.
Cordelia's already painful visions start to have more serious physical side effects. Through telepathy, the Host attempts to track down why The-Powers-That-Be see fit to harm her. Meanwhile, the tenacious, Angel-hating servants of evil (lawyers at Wolfram & Hart) rear their ugly heads yet again
Gunn finds himself stuck between old and new allegiances when he learns that a string of brutal and indiscriminate demon murders is the work of members of his former gang. Even the Host's usually peaceful club isn't immune to the violence. Cordelia, meanwhile, attempts to help Fred readjust to the world.
An old man casts a body-switching spell on Angel, and the old man enjoys the many pleasures of being eternally young, handsome and bloodthirsty in Los Angeles while a dying Angel tries to get his body back.
Fred's parents make a surprise visit to Angel Investigations. However, when their inexplicably frightened daughter gets wind of their arrival, she flees the scene. Not trusting Mr. and Mrs. Burkle, the gang prepares to protect Fred from them---providing she can be found. Meanwhile, a strange, insectile demon stalks the crew.
Angel's loyalty to his friends comes back to haunt them in this chilling episode, an unsettling blend of the series' usual horrors with the more realistic issue of violence against women. Angel and Cordelia both knew there would be consequences when he freed the partially demonic (but totally evil) Billy from a fiery prison in hell in order to save her. Those fears are realized when a wave of violence against women is traced back to Billy, whose mere touch has the power to bring out the worst in otherwise good men. The crew rushes to prevent another brutal attack, unaware that Wesley has already been infected---and he's alone in the hotel with Fred.
As the crew researches a prophecy predicting the imminent arrival of a being who may have a profound impact on the world, Darla arrives at the hotel---pregnant and angry, looking for the daddy. Cordelia, hurt by Angel's dishonesty, takes Darla's side in the matter. Baffled by how the pregnancy is even possible, Angel and company turn to the Host for some insight.
Angel must do everything in his power to protect Darla and their unborn child when Wolfram & Hart launches a full attack to take mother and baby, in addition to a vampire cult who believe the baby is The Miracle Child.
Vampire hunter Holtz's rekindled crusade to wreak fiery vengeance upon Angel and Darla complicates the impending birth of the expecting couple's baby. With Darla's contractions getting closer together, even the Angel Investigations gang is surprised when she takes off without them for places unknown. Angel finds her, only to learn how truly conflicted Darla is with the fact that she, a demon, actually loves something: her child. Her heartbreaking fear is that once the foreign soul leaves her womb, she won't be able to love it anymore. As the crew seeks sanctuary at Caritas, Lilah discovers an ominous prophecy concerning the baby.
Angel discovers how hard it is being a new dad - especially when the demon underworld is after your newborn son.
On her birthday, Cordelia's visions become so painful that they propel her into an astral state and a life-threatening coma. Visited by a demon guide, astral Cordy is mystically granted the opportunity to live her dream of a rich and famous actress if she is willing to give up her history with Angel and her visions.
Unprepared for the flood of business brought in by advertising, the Angel Investigations crew splits up to cover more ground---and ends up being spread too thin for its own good. Also, Fred is offered big bucks to solve a demonic puzzle; Angel goes to work for a high-paying businessman; and Gunn and Wesley protect a woman whose zombie ex-boyfriend is stalking her.
Angel takes the gang out for an evening at the ballet, but becomes suspicious when the prima ballerina is one he saw dance more than a century ago. When Angel and Cordelia sneak backstage to investigate, they find themselves consumed with an overwhelming passion for one another as the spirits of unrequited lovers take over.
Angel feels isolated, obsolete and even a bit jealous when Groosalugg arrives in town from Pylea, and immediately saves the gang in battle and is welcomed into the loving arms of his former princess, Cordelia.
Wesley preoccupies himself with protecting Connor and foiling the prophecy about Angel and his son - he is given the three signs to look for before Angel devours his own son. When an earthquake shakes Los Angeles, all three signs come true. Meanwhile, Gunn and Fred investigate a purported vamp nest, unaware that the woman who hired them is one of Holtz's lackeys. Gunn and Fred also encounter a stumbling block in their burgeoning relationship.
Angel's angry behavior and sudden cravings for human blood frighten Wesley enough for him to kidnap the baby to keep him safe. Unfortunately, Wesley's plan to protect Connor falls apart when Holtz takes the child for revenge against Angel.Angel begins to crave human blood because he's been unknowingly sampling the blood of his own son. Courtesy of Wolfram and Hart who've been tainting the vamp's usual supply with some of Connor's blood sample from the hospital.
While Wesley remains alone in the park, bleeding to death, his friends question his motivations for betrayal and look into the one way to rescue Connor: materializing Sahjan.Angel is a man out for revenge to get back at Wesley for kidnapping Connor and turning him over to their enemies. While Fred and Gunn try to reason with him, Angel conjures dark magic and risks ripping right through the fabric of reality to find his lost son.
A deal Gunn made years ago where he offered his soul in trade comes back to haunt him in the form of a demon who comes to collect. Making matters worse, the demon wants to hold Fred until Gunn makes good on his deal. Cordelia finally returns with Groo and she does her best to offer sympathy to Angel, who's still unable to come to grips with the loss of Connor. Wesley, who survived, finds himself on his own in light of his actions that cost Angel his son.
Angel must pay for using powerful dark magic in his failed attempt to bring back his son, and the hotel becomes infected with deadly slug-like creatures who invade Fred's body, leaving Wesley as Gunn's only hope to turn to save her. Meanwhile, Cordelia experiences a new and shocking power and they learn of the coming of The Destroyer determined to kill Angel.
Angel's son Connor is brought back from the Hell dimension a feral teenage warrior, and is hellbent on vengeance against his father for Angel's bloody past. When he fails, the confused teen escapes to the mean streets of L.A. Determined to set things straight, Angel searches for his son, who in the interim befriends a troubled but kind homeless girl. Meanwhile, the dimensional rift through which the young man traveled continues to cause trouble at the hotel.
Angel and Connor successfully engage in some much-needed father-son bonding when they find themselves fighting side-by-side. Then foster-father Holtz stirs things up by suggesting Connor should leave him to live with Angel. Meanwhile, Lilah continues to work on recruiting Wesley for the bad guys; and Cordelia's closeness with Angel causes a rift in her relationship with Groosalugg.
The joyful reunion between Angel and his now teenage son Connor is short-lived when the enraged Connor comes seeking revenge against Angel for murder. Meanwhile, just at the moment when Cordelia and Angel are finally ready to face their feelings for each other, she is sent a message that it's time for her to leave this world and to move on to another.
With Angel trapped on the ocean floor and Cordelia stuck on a mystical plane, Fred and Gunn are frustrated at the lack of clues regarding their friends' whereabouts, especially after the only eyewitness to Angel's disappearance is murdered. After Angel is rescued by the most unlikely person, the shocking reasons behind the mysterious disappearances become clear.
When Wesley advises Angel to visit Dinza, a dark "goddess of the lost" who has valuable information on how to find Cordelia, he learns that a certain mystical antiquity called the axis can locate souls across dimensions. Angel, Fred and Gunn break into an auction house to retrieve the object only to discover that an electrifying cat burglar has the same intentions.
Angel, Fred and Gunn take a road trip to Las Vegas to enlist Lorne's help in finding Cordelia, but get caught up in a supernatural ”and literal” "futures" trading scheme. A ruthless casino owner holds Lorne hostage, exploiting the popular entertainer's psychic abilities to steal unsuspecting patrons' destinies. It is Angel's future, however, that is of more interest...
After months of existing on a higher plane, Cordelia inexplicably appears back at the hotel - with no idea why or even how she arrived there. Sadly, a serious case of amnesia prevents Cordy from remembering either her friends or her past. Believing the full truth may scare her off, the gang attempts to hide the freaky facts about their lives. Unfortunately, that secrecy leads to mistrust on Cordy's part when the reality of their situation is revealed. Things get even more complicated when Lorne reads her mind and sees a terrifying vision of the future. Meanwhile, outcast Connor struggles to find his place in the world.
After Fred's physics article is published; she's invited to speak at a symposium where a portal opens, bringing her face to face with a demon and a dark secret about her old professor. Meanwhile Angel visits a comic book store to try and solve the mystery and find out why someone would want Fred out of the way. While doing so, he discovers that he is a very popular character in online chatrooms.
When Lorne performs a spell on Cordelia to restore her memory, it inadvertently causes the gang to revert back to their high school personas and leaves them with no memories of each other. Eventually, they discover that the only way to reverse the spell is to kill a vampire, just as Angel realizes that he is one.
Angel and company brace for the imminent arrival of a hellish beast and toil to stave off Judgment Day. Although the creature's coming was initially revealed through Cordelia, she is unable to dredge up the ghastly specifics about the otherworldly visitor from her spotty memory. Only one thing is certain - the demon will bring about the end of the world if no one stops it. With no other choice, Angel partners with Lilah to fight the common threat. Meanwhile, Fred and Gunn get sidetracked by a bump in their relationship. Cordy and Connor, on the other hand, pair up to hunt down the menace themselves.
When Angel realizes that there may be some connection between Connor and the Beast, he learns that Connor is trapped within Wolfram & Hart where the building is under lock-down and the Beast is on a brutal killing spree. Angel, Wesley, Gunn and Fred break into the building, only to be encountered by zombies of dead lawyers. After finding Connor, the gang try to escape in an elevator. They are taken to the very top floor, 'The White Room'. They see The Beast standing in front of the little girl in the red dress, she tells the gang that 'the answer is among them'. The Beast destroys her and the gang are magically transported to the hotel. After arriving back, Angel angrily reveals to Cordelia that he knows about her and Connor.
The Beast is searching for 5 mystical Totems, he has slaughtered 3 of them, plus the little girl in Wolfram & Hart. The last Totem is a guy named Manny, he seeks help from Gwen Raiden and Angel Investigations. He hides out in Gwen's panic room, guarded by Angel and Cordelia. When Angel and Cordelia are mysteriously drugged, Manny meets a nasty fate at the hands of The Beast, this causes the sun to disappear from Los Angeles. After trying to learn more about The Beast's connection, the gang accuse Connor. It is only when Cordelia has a vision, that she discovers who the culprit really is.
Cordelia reveals that The Beast and Angelus used to be a team. She had a vision which let her sample the past of Angel's alter-ego. Wesley arrives at the hotel, he brings a Shaman with him named Wo-Pang. He has the ability to extract and replace souls. After much discussion, the gang decides that the only way to find information on The Beast is to ask his 'partner in crime'. Wo-Pang sedates Angel, who has a fantasy where everyone is happy and The Beast is dead. But just as Angel and Cordelia start to make love, Angel wakes up in reality, minus one soul.
With Angel's soul locked away in a safe, the gang begin interrogation. Angelus has the gang arguing after he reveals the truth behind their recent actions. Cordelia makes a deal with Angelus, providing he can give the gang the information they need. He agrees and tells them that in 1789, The Beast needed his help while trying to kill a group of Nordic Svea Priestesses. Angelus declined to help and the Svears successfully banished The Beast fom Earth. Angelus reveals the Svears' current location, but when the gang find them, they are dead. The gang decide that they have enough information from Angelus and prepare to restore his soul, but there is just one problem.... the safe is empty.
The gang rush to confront Wo-Pang about the missing soul, but he doesn't have it. When they arrive home they find Lilah on the cameras, talking to Angelus about 'taking care of The Beast'. They follow her and discover the information that Wolfram & Hart stole from Lorne's head. Cordelia has a vision. Angelus continues to reveal embarrasing secrets, while Gunn and Connor retrieve the head of a soul eater seen in Cordelia's vision. The gang perform a spell using the head and Angel returns. Cordelia opens Angel's cage a little too eagerly, but Angelus comes out, throws her against the bars and escapes. The gang set out to find him, while Cordelia and Lilah stay at the hotel. Angelus returns, knocks Cordelia out and chases Lilah. After a long chase, she bumps into Cordelia. "He's going to kill us!" Lilah says. Cordelia stabs her in the neck and replies... "Why do you think I let him out, you stupid bitch?"
The gang discover Angelus feeding on Lilah. After Angelus escapes Wesley says he will take care of the body, while Connor vows to kill his father. Lilah's spirit haunts Wesley until he decapitates her fully, keeping his anger well hidden. He then pays Faith a visit and tells her about everything, she smashes her security glass and escapes with Wesley. Angelus and the Beast hear about Faith's arrival and lure her and Wesley to a place where they can meet. Some vampires keep Wesley busy, while Angelus and The Beast take on Faith. Just as The Beast is about to kill Faith, Angelus stabs him and sunlight returns to Los Angeles. It is secretly revealed that Cordelia was controlling The Beast. As the sun sets, Cordelia confronts Connor and tells him that she is carrying his child.
Wesley takes Faith to his appartment, where she has a shower and cleans herself up. Wesley wants Faith to be more powerful and tries to make her angry by calling her a 'rabid dog', but she doesn't enjoy the violence as much as she used to. Angelus visits a bar where he discovers that other demons and vampires are not happy about the sun returning to Los Angeles, so he has become very unpopular. He hears a voice of the Beast's master, it keeps pestering him about it's plans for him and informs him that it has his soul. At the same time Cordelia is in bed talking in secret to Angelus. Connor walks in and she stops, but reminds Connor to keep their child a secret. Angelus later enters the hotel looking for a book. He is immune to Lorne's recent sanctuary spell, because of an amulet that he is holding. Fred notices that the amulet is fake and hits him. Angelus grabs Wesley and threatens to kill him, but then he just exits the hotel. Faith and Wesley later visit a bar where Angelus was last seen and pumble a demon for information.
