Episodes
Juan Carlos I is crowned king in 1975 and leads Spain towards democracy after the rule of Francisco Franco, but in the following years both the authorities and his powerful friends struggle to hide his scandals.
In the 1990s, Juan Carlos creates the impression of being a success, but according to the interviewees, the authorities and his friends had to work to protect his reputation because of certain aspects of his private life.
When the scandals of Juan Carlos come to light, the pressure becomes too great and his reputation irreparably damaged. The relationship with Corinna becomes a turning point for his reign. It becomes an impossible task to save the king.
