Relive the chilling fear with some of these eight films from the Hammer Films studio that showcased monsters that helped shape the characters we enjoy being frightened and entertained by. The "Hammer Horror 8-Film Collection" is a must have for the collector of horror films by Hammer. 1) "The Brides of Dracula" - Vampire hunter Van Helsing returns to Transylvania to destroy handsome bloodsucker Baron Meinster, who has designs on beautiful young schoolteacher Marianne. 2) "The Curse of the Werewolf" - In Spain, Leon is born on Christmas day to a mute servant girl who was raped by a beggar. His mother dies giving birth and he is looked after by Don Alfredo. As a child Leon becomes a werewolf after having been taken hunting. As a young man, he works in a wine cellar and falls in love with the owner's daughter Cristina. 3) 'Night Creatures" (original title 'Captain Clegg' - In 18th-century England, the Royal Crown sends Royal Navy Captain Collier and his crew to investigate reports of illegal smuggling and bootlegging in a coastal town where locals believe in Marsh Phantoms. 4) "The Phantom of the Opera" - Terror strikes the London Opera House as a new opera is disrupted by the actions of a deformed specter of the show's past who has an obsession with one of the production's chorus girl. 5) "Paranoiac" - Loosely based on Josephine Tey's "Brat Farrar;" a man long believed dead returns to the family estate to claim his inheritance. 6) "Kiss of the Vampire" - When car trouble strands a honeymooning couple in a small Southern European village, an aristocratic family in the area reaches out to help them with sinister consequences. 7) "Nightmare" - Janet is a young student at a private school; her nights are troubled by horrible dreams in which she sees her mother, who is in fact locked in an insane asylum, haunting her. 8) "The Evil of Frankenstein" - Penniless, Baron Frankenstein, accompanied by his eager assistant Hans, arrives at his family castle near the town of Karlstaad, vowing to continue his experiments in the creation of life.
