Threats from sinister foreign nationals aren't the only thing to fear. Bedraggled college professor Michael Faraday has been vexed (and increasingly paranoid) since his wife's accidental death in a botched FBI operation. But all that takes a backseat when a seemingly all-American couple set up house next door.

WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
The tense thriller Arlington Road grabs you by the throat from the very first scene and really doesn’t let you breathe much until the end. College professor Michael Faraday (Bridges) is a widower who researches right-wing anti-government terrorists groups. When an unfortunate accident leads to a meeting with his new neighbors, Faraday begins to suspect that all is not so All-American inside his new neighbor’s home.
DVD Picture:
Viewed through the component video output, the anamorphically enhanced DVD is rendered with superb resolution and excellent color fidelity. Fleshtones are completely natural. Images are sharp and finely detailed throughout. Contrast is outstanding with excellent shadow delineation. There are not distracting compression artifacts or noise though fine film grain is at times apparent. The anamorphic and letterbox aspect ratio measures 2.35:1.
Soundtrack:
The 5.1-channel Dolby® Digital soundtrack is a rather conventional sound design punctuated with moments of aggressive surround envelopment and deep bass impact, enhanced with below 25Hz .1 LFE. But a large measure of the soundtrack is mono directed. Dialogue sounds perfectly natural throughout though strictly center channel limited and at times wanting in spatial integration.
