Set in a near-future world where there is no privacy, ignorance or anonymity, our private memories are recorded and crime almost ceases to exist. In trying to solve a series of unsolved murders, Sal Frieland stumbles onto a young woman who appears to have subverted the system and disappeared. She has no identity, no history and no record. Sal realizes it may not be the end of crime but the beginning. Known only as 'The Girl', Sal must find her before he becomes the next victim.

My quick rating - 6,2/10. The world in which this movie exists will most likely look very familiar and very soon. In the not so distant future all memories are recorded and nothing is done without identity. Well, as with anything such as this, someone finds their way around this and uses it to make murder become impossible to solve. As the viewer we have to take into account that crime is basically gone in this world due to the way everyones brains are now fair game (implants in your head behind the eyes). Put aside the not explained way this is interfaced, and the idea is really quite interesting. Since "the girl" has found a way to become completely anonymous and a murderer is on the loose that alters or erases the tracks of the killings, she is a highly sought after suspect. But now that detective Sal (Clive Owen) is on the case, he must find her before, well, she finds him. If you give this movie a chance, even with a lot of grains of salt in reality, you may enjoy this one. The acting is good and sometimes the camera work does a good job of catching the correct expressions to show the depth. I wanted to like this movie a lot more than I did but it just played on the idea, and really didn't develop enough extra to add to it. Still a good movie, just a bit subdued in what it could've become.
