Just as he is on the brink of winning a senate seat, politician David Norris (Matt Damon) meets a ballerina named Elise Sellas (Emily Blunt). Though David is smitten, mysterious men conspire to keep him away from the beautiful dancer. David learns he is up against the powerful agents of Fate itself, and, glimpsing the future laid out before him, must either accept a predetermined path that does not include Elise, or defy Fate to be with her.

My quick rating - 6,6/10. So much for free will. This is a fairly intelligent flick that presents the whole notion of "free will" being a lie and that everything we do is "determined" ahead of time (did you watch the show "Devs" recently?) In this romantic flick, the story involves Matt Damon falling for Emily Blunt, and choosing to go against the grand scheme of things. This is where the sci fi comes in. Not only is there a masterplan for life, but people are everywhere to make sure it always follows suit. Wihtout spoiling any further, check out this interesting ride into lvoes arms, and I would bet you won't be disappointed. Only knocks I have are minor and I would bet many of you will rate this higher, I say for good reason.
