Based on a true story, "House On The Hill" is a true crime melodrama with strong horror elements, chronicling the outrageous 1980s murder spree of serial killer Leonard Lake, who would target, kidnap, rob and kill people - and even whole families. Sonia, the only survivor of Lake's killing spree, teams up with a private investigator to help him locate a woman who disappeared into Lake's compound. In the process, Sonia recounts the horrors of the house, where Lake and his accomplice would force her to videotape the killings.

My quick rating - 2,9/10. The only reason this sick movie gets any points is the granular archive video of the actual serial killer, Leonard Lake. If you want to basically watch 2 sick individuals degrade and rape women for about 80 minutes, here you go. The movie tries to meld this into a plot by having the survivor recant the story to the husband of one of the women that was killed but that whole thing was just a means to the end of showing this brutality. It isn't over the top in gore, it is just sick to know this is based on a true story. Pass on this, unless that is something you want to see.
