Notes

My quick rating - 3.3/10. An Alaskan bush pilot, Bruce (Lenni Uitto) attempts a daring rescue of a stranded researcher whom he recently met through his love interest, Alison (Stacey Ann Turner). After he crashes his plane and finds the group, he is led deep inside an arctic cave system thought to be an entrance to the inner earth, only to find himself battling creatures not of this world. They purposely made sure the entire movie is so damn dark, it doesn't really matter what the creature looks like. That along with the need to be in a cave, which they may or may not have ever been. Since the budget looks so low, I am guessing they were in a very shallow cave and reused the same location repeatedly. That technique would've been fine and worked well had you been able to ever see anything. The times you got to see rocks and dirt were more of a reward as the movie went on, more so than the actual monster. I did get a nice laugh out of the sliding down a waterslide scene that was supposed to be in said cave. I almost have to give kudos to director Scott Lambson for using darkness so much to his advantage in this. But there was just so much here borrowed from other current works mainly Monarch that I just can't recommend this. On a side note, the only time I didn't notice the background music playing was when our couple located an underground stream so that soothing music is playing the entire 70 minutes of this one.
