Notes

My quick rating - 3,4/10. For a movie holding some promise, this one fails quite miserably. The little glimpses of some decent storylines kept getting nibbled at but never do they bother developing any of them. The actors have to be pissed at the outcome since they actually did a pretty good job here. So we have a bad guy who wants to have complete power, and to get it he must get information out of some dude. For leverage he takes over a building just to trap the soon to be tortured guys daughter. Here is the beginning of all the plot holes. She doesn't have her memory for some reason to start with. Ok, lets look past them since there are far too many to get into and deal with the women in the elevator. Maybe wonder why she is so important. There is a bit of tease about the womens sister and how she is linked either in reality or psychologically. Again, plot holes that don't get realized. So when the evil man doesn't get the info he wants, he zips her up and down to torture her. Oh, and if torture is your thing, it seems like about half this movie (maybe exaggeration) is watching the dad get tortured. Also at times she sneaks out of the elevator into the shaft which I will say looked pretty impressive. I will say the technology part of this elevator was awfully finished for a building that was completely baron minus the elevators. Never worked in a building with such a back asswards way of finishing it. Goes along with the holes a plenty. All of this leads to an ending that makes no sense, well in this movie, makes perfect sense and begs you to want to see a sequel? Because if that was NOT what they were trying to do than the climax is even worse than I am currently judging. Looks good and if you give it a chance you might be OK with it if you can tolerate so many things that could've been great being left unsaid.
