Notes

My quick rating - 7,5/10. WOW, It has been a long time, but a good solid sci fi movie that doesn't need to be all action such as aliens or star wars. And a movie about AI & robots that aren't super powered Terminators. This is much more about sci fi that is done without CGI and elaborate effects but focus on story and emotions. This is the strong point of this flick that would be stellar had it did not contain one flaw. The reliance on a single character, in this case, the actor is just not up to that level to completely carry a movie such as this. I am not saying this makes a bad flick, it is merely what keeps it from rising to the very top. The makeup is phenomenal, how often do I point that out? And the location, looks wonderful. I mentioned out loud how nice the snow and isolated scenes worked to fill the stories atmosphere. A mans wife is killed in a tragic accident, and he uses his knowledge to create the perfect robot for her consciousness into. Archiving is a method of dropping someones "mind" onto a storage drive for a period of time to get all your last moments with. I'll leave it vague so they can explain it to you. So we work through the various stages of his robots to get ready for the transformation. All that aside, this leads you to a finale that will leave you SPEECHLESS as you take it all in. On that note, I could keep going, but the message is simple. SEE THIS MOVIE. Quickly has jumped to the top 10 of my list for the year.
