Gargoyles
In Scotland, 994 A.D., the castle Wyvern is guarded by gargoyles, creatures that sleep during the day, turned into stone, and are fearsome warriors during the night. In spite of keeping the castle's inhabitants safe, the gargoyles are not respected nor appreciated by them, except for the Captain of Guard who sees great value and honor in these creatures. After being betrayed by the only human they trusted, most of the gargoyles are killed while sleeping, and out of anger the Magus puts a spell on the surviving gargoyles so they also sleep during the night. In 1994 A.D., the billionaire David Xanatos purchases the castle, moving it to the top of his skyscraper in Manhattan. With the castle above the clouds, the spell is broken and now the Scottish gargoyles live again in a world strange to them. The Clan is still reluctant about trusting humans, but after meeting Elisa Maza they find a reason to befriend humans again.

Detective Elisa Maza arrives on scene at a huge battle on a skyscraper with an old Scottish castle that has been recently installed. The castle's history is revealed: It is the home of the mythical Gargoyles.
In the past, Goliath returns to the castle to find most of his clan have been destroyed. The Magus casts a spell on the remaining Gargoyles and puts them into a thousand year sleep. After that, they wake up in modern Manhattan.
Elisa encounters the Gargoyles. She offers to help them understand their new environment. Elisa and Goliath agree to meet the next night so she can show him the city. Meanwhile the other gargoyles do their own exploring.
Goliath and Elisa are attacked in the park. They manage to escape, but Elisa has to protect the wounded Goliath during the day. Xanatos then reunites the clan with someone they thought they had lost.
The Gargoyles retrieve Xanatos's data. When they return, Goliath meets with Elisa who gives him the real story on the data. Goliath informs the others, which sets up a battle, and then learns more about the last battle at Castle Wyvern.
Lexington meets his TV idols, The Pack, only to have them lure him and Goliath into a deadly hunt as the prey.
After an unpleasant encounter with humans, Brooklyn is swayed by Demona to work for her.
When Broadway accidentally shoots Elisa, he is grief stricken while Goliath and police hunt for a gangster they think is the culprit.
A mysterious man with considerable experience with Gargoyles offers his services to remove the clan from the castle.
Elisa gets a new partner. Xanatos donates the Eye of Odin to a museum to improve his public image. The Eye is stolen by something or someone resembling a Gargoyle.
While being pursued by Demona, Hudson keeps a wounded Goliath's spirits up with memories of their battle with the Archmage.
While Elisa's brother considers working for Xanatos against her advice, Jackal and Hyena plot to strike against the billionaire.
A dead gargoyle of the Wyvern Clan is brought back to life by Xanatos and Demona as a cyborg.
